The right to freedom of religion

I remember a pal of mine used to say that the freedom of religion side of every liberal society will be the end of such a society.
Its no suprise that at a young age He was used to writing such things to people. I mean if your favourite youtube page is "disaster channel" and you wake up next to a library filled with books written by clerics who see no good in the need to compromise when it comes to beliefs you are 90% prone to end up such a way.
We all are sure of extremist sects in Nigeria and their seemingly unending spree of bloodshed I am sure but to come across such mindset on social networks such as facebook is going to be a sure-stunner to most Nigerians.
I remember that in the month of may this year,I met a chap by the name Olawale on facebook. He was an average friend on the site with nothing much on him until He published a post stating clearly that christianity is designed to kill. I tried to desuade this notion of his and of course, other friends got in on this. After two days I had to unfriend him.
Word around is that there are other people with such peculiar and myopic interests in religion and their number is fast on the rise.
Just how safe are we in this already shakey Nigeria?
